Inexplicable disappearance of hardware

Hi

 

From one use of my pc (with Technisat Airstar PCI card installed) to the next, without anything whatsoever having been changed in any way, I've suddenly begun getting the 'no hardware installed' message.

 

Under 'Options > Hardware' my card is detected exactly as before, and all settings are unaltered.

 

I've uninstalled/reinstalled DVBViewer (ver. 4.2.1) and TechniSat's 'DVB-PC TV Stars' from CDROM. Technisat's 'Setup4PC' software performs a channel scan (which DVBViewer doesn't) but its 'Channel Status' tab says 'Out of lock'.

 

I'm baffled
