hollymolly Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Sorry I dont get it how to setup up DVBViewer over the network. Any help appreciated!!! Installation Computer ABC: Has DVBViewer 4.5 with DVB-C Card running. Everything works fine. TV can be watched on this PC. No NetStream.dll plugin installed, no Unicast Device configure. DVBServer is running with default settings. Computer XYZ: Has DVBViewer 4.5 but no DVB Hardware. Here I want to watch TV over the network from ABC which has DVB Hardware to receive TV signal. I added the Unicast Device with all config from the server. Now?! How do I see the channel list from ABC? I am really lost. Quote

hollymolly Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Thanks. Will try this out tonight. But isnt this possible with DVBViewer only? The installation already contains a DVBServer part, so why would I need the recording service. I try to avoid conflicts when watching TV on this box, i.e. watching TV on DVB-C and DVB-S cards with DVBViewer (in living room), receiving DVB-T channels on DVB-T card on the same machine, but streamed to another room because there is no DVB-T reception but only LAN (basement). ABC(living room) - DVB-C: active and "locally" viewed - DVB-S: active and "locally" viewed - DVB-T: active but "remotely" viewed/streamed XYZ (basement) - no DVB hardware. Only DVBViewer controlling ABC DVB-T part via LAN Thanks. Quote
PeterF Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 The recordingservice is the new Server, its made for this you want du with your ABC and XYZ. Read the guide like @Tjod wrote and try it. PeterF Quote
hollymolly Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Thx! Works very nice with RecordingService and DVBServer. I am now putting all the DVB hardware in one box and stream to 3 TV's. Great stuff! Quote
