Hi everyone, just wondered if someone who knows a bit more about this matter could help me out?

i have 2 hauppauge win-tv hd s2 cards installed on my pc seperately, and i use DVBViewer and recording service, i just wondered if it is possible to record 2 things at once, becuase at the moment it wont even let me watch 2 things at once, and seems like that its only letting me use 1 card at a time..

if anyone can help me out, i would really apreciate it..

thanks.

Yes can be done, you need to setup a second instance of DVBViewer in a different folder. There is a post somewhere on how to do that.

I use a freeview USB card and a DVB-S2 card and can record on both at the same time.

Let me know if you have issues , I'll dig up the info

hi, thanks for the replies, the trouble is when i open DVBViewer both of my tv cards show up under hardware, but i have to swich the priority to ''preffered'' to get each one working independantly, in other words i cant just switch my satelite cable over to the other card, as it wont work, until i tick preffered.

both of the cards are showing up and are installed correctly, it just wont let me use them at the same time.

@lars: could i ask what you mean about following the instructions, as i already have recording service installed, so not sure what you mean.

i understand it m ight work with 2 different install directories, but surely theres a way they can both work under the same programme..

please get back to me, thanks alot for the help so far..

^^^^^EDIT

right iv managed to be able to record 2 things at once in DVBViewer itself, and i have made all the settings the same in the recording service, but now all my timers are in red, which normally indicates something is wrong, iv rebooted and there still red, but DVBViewer works fine!

very wierd any ideas???

thanks
