foefelken Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Problem 1 : ----------- Last week no problems with watching following FTA HD-channels: - Das Erste HD - ZDF HD - Arte HD Now it does not work anymore So i decided to check the channels with Transedit. Transedit has no problems with finding en previewing the channels. Problem 2 : ----------- Also last week i bought a Aston Seca CAM and a TVV-subscription-card (TVV = TV-Vlaanderen). After activation of the TVV-subscription, i started testing. Result : all channels EXEPT the HD channels are working The following HD channels should work with my subscription : - Een HD - Ketnet/Canvas HD - VTM HD Considering both problems : --------------------------- I tested with different decoders like PowerDVD-10, ffdshow, etc... : the problems remain the same. The strange thing is that the following HD-channels are working fine : BBC HD, ITV HD, Einsfestival HD, Luxe TV HD, Anixe HD. Even Sky 3D works fine. There where no other programs or windows updates installed. support.zip FireDTV Support.txt Aston Module.txt Quote
foefelken Posted November 2, 2010 Author Posted November 2, 2010 Today i re-installed the FireDTV Viewer downloaded from the Digital Everywhere website (BDA version). Its the version : 091128_firedtv_setup_5_7.zip Step 1 : in the decoder settings i only changed H264 to ffDshow Step 2 : i scanned Astra 28.2 with a copy of the transponderlist from the DVBViewer PRO Results : --------- 1) With FireDTV Viewer i can read my CAM data ; this is not possible in the DVBViewer PRO 4.5.0.0 2) With FireDTV Viewer the encrypted HD-channels "Een HD, Ketnet/Canvas HD and VTM HD" are working Conclusion : ------------ 1) TV-card, Aston Seca CAM and subscription card (TV-Vlaanderen) are working fine 2) There is a problem with DVBViewer PRO 4.5.0.0 because : one) the CAM menu/page gives an empty screen two) even after selecting different DirectX-decoders - including ffDshow - DVBViewer PRO 4.5.0.0 refuses to decode the above mentioned HD-channels Quote
balky Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 During the installation of DVBV, did you select the option for firedtv cards support? Got a TVV subscription here and it works flawlessly with a floppyDTV-S2 card Quote
foefelken Posted November 2, 2010 Author Posted November 2, 2010 Balky, thanks for the suggestions. Finally somebody that takes a moment to reply Indeed, my floppydtv was NOT connected to the pc when i installed DVBViewer Pro. I will re-install DVBViewer Pro with the floppydtv connected to the PC and see what happens. However, i doubt this will be the solution. Today i also scanned astra 19.2 and astra 28.2 with Digital Everywhere FireDTV Viewer to check the german and english hd-channels. I did this with the same transponder-files i used for the DVBViewer Pro. And gues what... al the german and english HD-channels also work fine with Digital Everywhere FireDTV Viewer So, my conclusion is that there must be something wrong with either : - the use of codecs by the different programs ; Digital Everywhere FireDTV Viewer <--> DVBViewer Pro 4.5.0.0 and/or - your suggestion, the floppydtv must be connected while installing the DVBViewer Pro 4.5.0.0 Meanwhile, my hair is starting to fall out Quote
alve Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Hello, I have exactly the same problem with Swedish HD channels. I have not had problem with the previous versions of the DVBViewer. / Martin Quote
alve Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I have solved my problem. What I did was to uncheck "Open hole transponder" i Hardware options. In the earlier version I had to have i checked. Hopefully this help you to. / Martin Quote
foefelken Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 @Balky & @Alve The suggestion of Balky (install again while FiteDTV is connected to the PC) worked however - during the install-procedure the program never asks anything about the hardware (as suggested by balky). I think its a bug ! Because changing the to use codecs - in the OPTIONS-DIRECTX-tab did not change anything. Thanks again @balky. Quote
