Sewar Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 (edited) Hi! I have TeVii S660 DVB-S2 USB for my laptop, except the few problems in drivers it worked very well for me. Now I'm looking for PCI card for my new desktop, so I checked TeVii products and found TeVii S464 DVB-S2 PCI. According to TeVii PCIe don't offer that much performance difference, so I guess it doesn't deserve the extra $20 for TeVii S470 DVB-S2 PCIe. Thanks. Edited November 11, 2010 by Sewar Quote
Sewar Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 After reading my post now, I realize it don't have any questions except in title! 1. Is TeVii S464 DVB-S2 PCI a good card? 2. Is there another good card with similar price? Quote
avh Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I have q TeVii s470, which works fine. I has a PCI-e socket (motherboard don't have many PCI-socket any longer). If i compare it to technotrend s3200,which i also use, the tuner seems to be better. TeVii s470 is much better for recievning sattelites where you are at the edge of the footprint.... Quote
Sewar Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 Thank you very much avh. My motherboard should get 1 or 2 PCI slots, and 4 or 6 PCIe slots, not sure! I thought of using PCI for satellite card as it's enough for it, leaving PCIe for something better like GPU or SATA card. I will stick to TeVii then. Quote
