dgian Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) My setup: A 4 port switch and a positioner afetr the 4th port. Server PC with skystar HD running DVBserver as unicast server. Client PC running DVBViewer as unicast clent. If I choose in client PC one of the sats in the first 3 ports everything works OK, but if I request a channel from the 4th port the positoner does not get the command. In Server PC if I close DVBserver and I run directly DVBViewer with same setup everything works OK. The command sequences for the diseqc follows: Please help me, because I'm struggled with this technical matter. Thank you in advance. Edited November 14, 2010 by dgian Quote
McenterFreak Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I don't know if it will solve your problem, but why don't you use Recording Service instead of DVBServer? Quote
dgian Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 (edited) To be honest I have relied for many time to dvbserver for its industrial strength, stability and tiny footprint in a rather much complicated setup in my home so I never took a chance even to read about recording service, let alone implementing it. So the question remains: Except from simple POSA/OPTA etc commands which DVBViewer transfers to dvbserver extended commands are transfered or not? Is it something I have to do or is this a bug and I have to post it to Bugs forum? PS. This is the DiSEqC.xml from DVBViewer client where you can see the interpreted commands from the above photos. <settings>

{E0 10 38 FC} W100 [E0 31 6B 23]

[E0 10 38 FC] W100 [E0 31 6B 26]

[E0 10 38 FC] W100 [E0 31 6B 2E]

{E0 10 38 FC} W100 [E0 31 6B 01]

{E0 10 38 FC} W100 [E0 31 6B 03]

[E0 31 6B 0F] W100 {E0 10 38 FC}

</settings> Edited November 16, 2010 by dgian Quote
dgian Posted November 17, 2010 Author Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) Just to answer to myself, it works! How? The all time classic way....uninstall everything and reinstall everything! Just an observation for those having SkyStar2 HD and the positioner menu in transedit de-activated (greyed out): Tha same happened to me and it only came back if i chose to install "CI/remote support for technotrend". Go figure out. Edited November 17, 2010 by dgian Quote
Griga Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Tha same happened to me and it only came back if i chose to install "CI/remote support for technotrend". Though not mentioned, it includes DiSEqC 1.2 support, requiring ttBdaDrvApi_Dll.dll. Without it only DiSEqC 1.0 works. Quote
