vizz Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Hi. I don't seem to find the HDHomeRun tuner under supported devices, do you plan to support it fully ? It works somehow with the whole transponder, but selection of the single program which is more network light doesnt seem to work at this time. Thanks in advance. Peter Quote

I thought it would be fully supported by now. I'd like to buy the dual tuner device (ATSC). Quote
vizz Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) Yes, I thought that aswell - but it doesn't yet. Strange though, when you see that Silicondust is releasing a new network attached tuner with 3 internal tuners now. (HDHomeRun Prime) http://www.silicondust.com/products/hdhomerun/prime/ . I wrote eailer that it works with the full transponder, and it does - but not 100% stable. Sometimes DVBViewer doesnt release the HdHomeRun tuners after use and during channel change - so suddenly you end up with "No Available hardware". It would be great if DVBViewer could reply on this thread if they will support the device in the future or not. They're awesome when they're communicating since I had to help them with ATSC issues in the past. I guess we will have to use another software to replace it for this tuner device. Grr. Wake up DVBViewer staff! Quote
Griga Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Sometimes DVBViewer doesnt release the HdHomeRun tuners after use and during channel change No special handling, it's the same procedure for all devices, and it works with all devices except... so who is to blame? Nevertheless I would play a bit with the hardware options, particularly "Stop stream while tuning", "Direct tuning" and "Use internal Network provider filter". Maybe one of the combinations is more suitable for the device/driver. We can't test ist, none of the developers and testers owns a Silicondust device. Quote

Regarding the possibility to test on a silicondust device, I understand that SiliconDust is interested in lending out devices to developers (You) - please read the following post http://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9578. Perhaps you can try to contact them again and refer to the above thread ? /Peter Quote
