majstang Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Truly GREAT work Lars These powermanagement changes are great I have a question though regarding: Fix: WEB API calls do not trigger the standby block anymore. Do you have some more information about this one?
Lars_MQ Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 It means, if you program a timer from a DVBViewer client on the recording service, it does not set the standby/hibernate block anymore. This normally affects only WinXP, because in Vista/Win7 you can not block the standby (deny querystandby).
majstang Posted December 13, 2010 Author Posted December 13, 2010 Yes, there was something fishy going on there and I'm glad you've fixed it If I'm not misstaken this means the only standby/hibernation block RS can do now is done with the "Block Standby/Hibernate if clients are receiving data". Great news and many thanks
Lars_MQ Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 No the blocks (for 30 seconds) are also done, if you use the webinterface via browser. This resets the idle timer of windows which is quite useful, because having the PC going into Standby/Hibernate, if you access the webinterface is quite annoying.
Lars_MQ Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 It quite difficult to keep the balance between all the different use cases...
majstang Posted December 13, 2010 Author Posted December 13, 2010 Yes, I could imagine The complexity of this project of yours is staggering to say at least. It's really fun to follow the development of this cutting edge software. Keep up the great work
