RedDwarf Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) I am having a problem with DVBViewer 4.5 where the quality meter reporting has disappeared on the DVBViewer window. I uninstalled DVBViewer and re-installed which took some time re-setting up and it worked briefly but then stopped working again again a few minutes later. How can I get the signal reporting working properly as I need it because of marginal signal levels which can affect recordings? support.zip Edited January 8, 2011 by RedDwarf Quote

Griga Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 DVBViewer displays values reported by the driver. It's highly device/driver dependent. Reporting such issues without specifying the device is useless. Quote

I have been using DVBViewer for quite some time, not that you would know that and haven't had the problem before. Quote
Griga Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Ok. Derrick has hit the mark. I didn't. I assumed another Blackgold DVB-T2 device. There are already numerous reports about wrong signal levels due to a driver issue. Quote

There are already numerous reports about wrong signal levels due to a driver issue. I didn't realise that there were any DVB-T2 PC cards available. The last time I looked there were no chipsets/tuners available. Sounds like typical Blackgold driver issues, so it sounds like nothing has changed. Quote
