JoeH Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 (edited) I am using RecordingServce 1.7.0.1 beta and am having problems with the timers for Internal Task Timers (the title of this post is incorrect - it should say Internal Task Timer problems). I want to create a task timer to cleanup and refresh the Recordings DB. I create a new Timer, give it a name, and put it to run a 3:00 AM. I'm not sure whether the "Stop" time makes any difference. I don't understand why there is a "Stop" time for an Internal Task timer. Shouldn't there just be a start time? Anyway, I hit save. It is way past 3:00 AM, but the new Timer appears at the top of the list, and lights up red - it is recording it says! Hmmm... So, I open it up and try to change to time from 23:00 to 23:01. The stop time is saved. The start time change is not saved. Now it is running from 3:00 AM until 23:01. I try this many times and the result is always the same. So I delete this one and create a new one. This time I say to go from 23:00 to 23:00. I wonder if this will work, as I don't know what the "Stop" time does. I give it a new name and save the Task Timer. Now the Task appears in the Timer list in the correct order, but does not have the name I gave it. It just says "Internal Task Timer" or something like that. I open it to edit it and change the name again. The name does not change in the Timer list. However, the name I had given it does appear on the Edit sheet! BTW, congratulations on the new Programs page - it is fantastically well done. Edited March 22, 2011 by JoeH
Lars_MQ Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Just let it run, it's a repeating timer and will change to the next runtime after the endtime. And you can't change the starttime of a running timer, this was propably your problem, when you tried to change it.
