Anyone using S2-1600

Any comments about S2-1600 performance with DVBViewr?

Asking about performance, is probably the wrong question. The device should run fine inside the DVBViewer. You could easily plug it in and it shouold run fine in combination with your Skystar-HD2.

1- My Skystar HD2 has gone "zombie"....meaning, half dead & half alive. It works with all dvb software only to the extent that applications starts OK & I can work within the interface of the software.

But it has stopped giving out voltage to lnb....hence no more activation of LNB ---> No signal! So this card is half alive & half dead.

 

2- By performance I meant a comparative evaluation. Generally speaking I was satisfied with Skystar HD2. But when I want to go for S2-1600, I just want to know if its users had no such common problems as:

 

a- Problem with low symbol rates

b- Problem with handling of S2 channels....like difficulty in tunning & slow switching etc.

c. Tuners's performace with regard to weaker signal strength ( For example Skystar HD2 tuner performs far better than SS2 with weak signals)

c. Above all its compatibility with extended diseqc mode (Diseqc v.1.1)

 

Only a previous user can help me on these issues. Therefore for my request for the same from fellow members of the forum.
