steven627 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I've just started the move to windows7 and umong the issues that I've encountered is that I get no audio on any HD recordings. I predominantly use the cyberlink codecs but I've tried the built in microsoft ones too. Oddly if the file is played back using win7 media player it works fine. I'm using RS 1.6.9 and DVBViewer 4.6. Cheers Steven Quote
Griga Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Oddly if the file is played back using win7 media player it works fine. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd390676%28v=vs.85%29.aspx The Microsoft implementation of the Dolby Digital technology is restricted under terms of the Dolby Digital licensing program to use by Microsoft applications. Install AC3 Filter. Quote
bogdan1980 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Or fddshow, or cyberlink( arcsoft) oem from a( your) tuner maker. Quote
steven627 Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 Have installed AC3 Filter and HD sound now works in DVBViewer, thanks Griga. However, now HD sound does not work in win7 media player. Quote
bogdan1980 Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 maybe ac3 filter has higher priority and you need to lower it. k-lite has an tool to see what codec is use in mediaplayer and mediacenter. or install fddshow. Quote
