vurt Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Tonight updated DVBViewer and Recording Service to latest versions and purchased the MHEG-5 plugin. MHEG-5 plugin does not work at all. When accessing the OSD nothing is displayed and nothing is displayed after changing channels. Sometimes I have seen a red bar at 25% in the status bar where time signal is usually shown. Attached is the support.zip Have now uninstalled the MHEG-5 plugin as could see no way of disabling it. Is there a way to disable the plugin to get the old OSD back? support.zip Quote
hackbart Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I tested it "here" (with some samples) and it works (except the recording ability, because i have not found any solution to fiddle the information out of the crid's) , keep in mind that Freeview NZ needs additional keys to open the MHEG EPG window. I defined the regular EPG window shortcut for it (i suppose the E button by default). Christian Quote
Kiwi_Tim Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 It's working for me. Initially I didn't know how to get it on screen. Press E on the keyboard and up it comes. Looks great. Nice work Christian. I hope recording via MHEG 5 is eventually possible in New Zealand. Trust us Kiwis to do it different from everybody else! Many thanks, Tim New Zealand Quote
vurt Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Yep E worked, had assumed since it disabled the default OSD the key would be the same. Looks good, but since the default OSD does not work with the MHEG-5 plugin installed I have uninstalled it again. I control DVBViewer via a remote and use the OSD to access my recorded shows or setup recordings and the MEHG-5 plugin does not give me this. If recording gets fixed and a way to access the default OSD is available (not expecting to have both a the same time, but should be able to switch) then will have another try. Quote
Kiwi_Tim Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I have found a couple of problems with the MHEG-5 plugin. I can no longer access the OSD menu (via remote control or via keyboard). Also cannot get OSD "OK" to work. I have 2 installs of DVBV 4.8, one with the MHEG-5 plugin and one without. The install without the plugin has not got the above two issues. Tim New Zealand Quote
uglyned Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 If you have a button on yoru remote control for TV guide, recordings or timer, bring any of those onto the screen then exit them again. This disables MHEG, and OSD works again. Not perfect but it's a good compromise for me. If you want MHEG back, you need to change channel. Quote
