Guest t6ti00 Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) I've been thinking about using DVBViewer for playing DVD's, too. Everything else works perfectly, except three things: In Settings -> Videos: Default functions for Stop and Exit are: Stop: Last Cahnnel Exit: No These will work fine. When I try to change them to the following: Stop: DVD Menu Exit: Last Cahnnel Stop will take me to Last Channel and Exit will shutdown DVBViewer. Also: - "Continue and ask"-option doesn't work. It will always continue. - Subtitles are always in english by default, no matter what I choose. Other thing is about video display: Movies will run at full screen, but some documentaries in bonus DVD:s will make 4:3 frame on my 16:9 display and the picture is drawn as 16:9 within that 4:3 frame. This doesn't happen with other DVD player software. All are at full screen there. Bugs or not? Is there a way to get those things working properly? Thanks. Edited May 13, 2011 by t6ti00 Quote
Guest t6ti00 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Update: I have downloaded and installed the newest DVBViewer and had a look on DVD playback again: - Remote control seems to work fine now. - "Continue and ask"-option works, but playback freezes at the beginning, if used. - Subtitles are disabled by default, no matter what has been chosen via Options, DVBViewer can not change them automatically. Manually they work fine. - Some documentaries are still shown in a smaller area, but "None" asppect ratio setting will make them a bit larger. I noticed that WMP shows them in same way. DVBViewer's DVD playback seems to be improved. Now those problems don't bother me, so I have chosen it as my default DVD-palyer and uninstalled PowerDVD. Fixes for the remaining problems would be of course welcome, but not necessary. Quote

That sounds some auto zoom function with letterboxed 4:3, you can do it manually in DVBViewer by setting a zoom preset (right click zoom, or set remote control button). Quote
