I use DVBViewerpro 4.2.1.0

[i can't get the latest version as I can't get the new credentials from the website - I tried emailing but have had no reply - is there an admin email?]

 

I have no problems watching sat tv with Astra 28.2 incl HD -- yipee.

 

An unusual request for information is that I'd also like to use this external usb box with MediaPortal!! (Stop thowing things at me...)

 

I am working with a developer on this issue, but we can't get the card to provide any signal. it's recognised and we think we are providing it with the correct parameters - e.g. as detailed on the DVBViewer channel info screen, but just get no signal response. (Oh I use win7 sp1). Clealry we should be able to get it to work as you guys and gals have.

 

Is there any strange setting or gotcha we should be aware of that you discovered and might help us (and of course be willing to share, which I can totally understand if you don't want to)?

 

I'm also about to try to use a motorised dish over the weekend (technosat motor) from the Compro, anyone had any experiences, or tips, before I blow up my card (which will solve the MePo problem lol)?

There seems to be a problem with Chrome not being able to get into the users area, but Firefox worked fine.

Well Technomate motor and 80cm dish installed and guess what, the S500 won't drive it. (We know the motor works, tried it with a proper receiver). I even dug out an old winxp device and lugged it downstairs to try with a "supported" machine, no joy. Sometimes I just hate computers.

A noob question. When using the diseqc 1.2 settings, what does the software do if I select a new satellite from the drop down - is this purely for use in the software or does it send any signals to the motor?

 

If I select a position, does it send the diseqc1.2 signals when selected? (i.e. up, down) or only when I hit scan. I assume the preset position number refers to the motor in-built presets? or not!

 

On the extended option I am looking at entering some manual diseqc1.2 commands - can you direct me to where the documentation is for this? Including any explanations of the options. Again when are the signals sent to the motor.(I am going to stick an oscilloscope on the cable and see what is happening.
