dardarlt Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I've got new credentials, I've also read about new system http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/42222-how-to-get-new-credentials/ very carefully, but new credentials were just not working. It worked after some time, you should mention it in guide, that new users should wait for 10 minutes or something Quote
gippeswyc Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 The "new process" is not working for me at all. The relevant instructions say, quote Use your old credentials to log in to the new members area https://www.DVBViewer.tv/members, thus activating a web interface for requesting the new credentials. My log in is fine but I do not get a new web interface or anything that requests new credentails. Help! Quote
gippeswyc Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Am posting this as it MIGHT just help someone else! I get the feeling around here that its not a great time to be asking for personal support given the recent spat. My problem turned out to be as a result of: Some security software tends to sabotage the DVBViewer installation (known up to now: Kaspersky, Spybot Search & Destroy TeaTimer, ThreatFire). Stop or deactivate it, re-install DVBViewer and activate the security software again. .. in my case use of Kaspersky. Sabotage is the best way to describe it. Although the installation process starts, no files get written to the directories and what appeared to be an error message flashed for a nanosecond before closing the installation process. Perhaps the developers might consider a warning screen post install rather than having to wade through quite a lengthy forum post of just what could/can go wrong during install. I might add that DVBViewer is a great product so well done you programme developers. Quote
