Ed_UK Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 I didn't expect to get that kind of response regarding my login issues and to my first post in the forums. Try to understand what people are telling you and don't be so dismissive or rude. I assumed you would have access to the accounts and email adresses of the people who have registered with you. Is it really that difficult to do a DB query and determine somebodies details?!?!?!? I did enjoy using this program, but I'll be taking my inerest elsewhere. Thanks for nothing!!! Great DVB-S software, but the support model Sucks! Quote
ElecardFAN Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Funny, i followed the conversation a few minutes ago and so i suppose you did not sent any kind of email to Christian. Sorry but, how small minded are you? You can not expect (especially at the weekend) that Christian or Bernd is digging through their database searching for every possible user which first name starts with "Ed", might have an co.uk in his email and brought a license in anno 2007. Further on it is no question that the license model allows people to upgrade the software without purchasing another license, but after >=4 years of usage and free updates I would feel dinky to capitalize this. Just my two cent Peter Quote
Ed_UK Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 Hi Peter, I just think this is a big misunderstanding. I could not send Christian an email because I do not have his email address, he said not via PM in the forum. I thought that the folks who worked with this software would be able to see user account details easily if they are registered. Does that not include the forum admins too? Is the forum the wrong place to get support for DVBViewer? ...and I would have been quite happy to pay for the upgrade as I stated in my previous post. I was also not expecting any replies over the weekend, but checked in and saw the replies. Quote

Which email address you should use in this case is described in the how to topic. http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/42222-how-to-get-new-credentials/ Please read carefully and follow the instructions.
