RS "Reset after standby/hibernation" option issue

I have two BlackGold BGT3620 Dual DVB-C/T2 tuners and currently only uses the four DVB-C tuners (BDA). A problem arises if using the option "Reset after standby/hibernation" on these tuners. When waking up system from hibernation it seems the tuner drivers resets fine automatically on their own (without using the RS reset). When RS sends the reset to these tuners, strange things happens. What then happens is the RS reset inactivates the tuner and Windows starts doing the device discconect/connect sound signaling. Takes about 30 second for the discconect/connet sounds to finish for all four tuners.

That makes me start wondering if these reset commands RS sends to the tuner/driver are the correct one for this BlackGold BGT3620 model? I find it strange there's no other reset method besides the one that inactivate/activate the tuner in windows device manager...apparently my Floppy-DTV DVB-C tuner driver handles this excellent without inactivate/activate the tuners from windows.

Yeah, i know...not using the reset command solves it, but there is an issue here regardless that needs to be sorted. I have started a support ticket with Blackgold, but they do not seem to grasp what's going on...yet. Hopefully you could take a look at it as well and see if the reset register commands are correct for this tuner?

Driver version = BGT_8.1.0.9

Same issue with = BGT_8.1.0.0

The commands are all the same for all cards. The card gets disabled and then reenabled.

Some drivers don't support it, some may cause problems, so you should evaluate the use of this function for each card and activate it only if really necessary and as the last resort.

This is just a "hack" for badly written drivers which don't survive standby/hibernate.

Thanks for this info :)

Time will tell if not using the RS reset will get me problems with recordings on tuners not resetted entirely correct.
