I could not get the Windows 7 jumplist entries to work for DVBViewer. Selection just launched an Explorer window in System32.

 

A search pointed to a specific shell handler for the EgisTec Shredder software that came pre-installed on the Acer machine hosting DVBViewer, Once I'd disabled that (using ShellExViewer utility) and re-booted, the problem was solved.

 

I hope this is useful to anyone else with an Acer PC who finds this post.
