TransEdit - Split recordings

I have been using TransEdit to make some tests for a while and I think there are some "enhancements" that could extend its usability.

Those would be the following:

Option to split recordings as in DVBViewer and recording service

Posibility to record a program from a mux with only it's corresponding information (unique pmt entry, etc)

Please let me know your opinion about them and if you think this could be implemented in the future.

I know that tssplitter can be used to cut the resulting file, and tsdoctor to clean the stream, but it would be great if it could

be accomplished in only one step.

you just have to select the corresponding pids or select the program and deselect the es_pids :)

Well, you still get entries for every transport id that is in the mux doing that ...

I mean that it is keept extra data not needed

Please read the manual, particularly the "Start Recording" paragraph. You can record an arbitrary selection of streams. Each stream can be selected or unselected individually in the PID list.

Thanks Griga but I know that, I usually deselect "private data" streams, etc...

Maybe I have not made myself clear. Please check the box on the next image to see what I mean

I think I know what you mean. Something like the "Adjust PAT/PMT" recording option in DVBViewer Pro resp. the "Adjust PAT/PMT to file content" conversion option in TSPlayer. "Split recordings" is something completely different.

No, it won't be implemented, because it's far beyond the TransEdit purpose.

Yes, that is what I meant.

Thanks for taking the time to check this and it would be great if you could consider at least the "split recordings" option.

Best regards
