ddichiera Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Hi everyone, I've been unable to get streaming to work via the webserver for quite some time now. When I first got the streaming to work (last year), it wouldn't stream to the WAN, but Tjod made a suggestion about the firewall which worked. see here: Webserver no access via wan. This time around I'm unable to stream even over my local network. I've tried turning off my Antivirus (Kaspersky) and the firewall is not active, but I still can't get it to work. VLC reports that it can't open port 3335. BTW: I have two PCs with the same problem. One has been upgraded to 1.9 the other is still on 1.8.0. Dominic
Kiwi_Tim Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Not sure what the problem is, but at a guess try configuring port forwarding in your router so that the appropriate ports are being forwarded to the ip address of the DVBV server. Worked for me. Had to configure port forwarding for ports 8089, 3335 and 7522. Tim New Zealand
ddichiera Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 Thanks Tim, I already have 3335 forwarded, but actually I can't even stream from within my network at the moment. I can't imagine what, apart from AV, could be blocking it. I turned that off, but it still wouldn't stream. It hasn't worked since the last couple of updates to RecServ.

janip Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I can't stream too. Now i have fresh win7 64bit installation and offcourse latest recservice. I can see VLC.exe in taskmanager, but vlc does not do nothing. (0% load) All works ok earlier. Nothing change router and i try to stop win7 firewall.
janip Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Ok, streaming works again with 1.9.2 Beta. Do you have any idea, why streaming does not stop when i press browser stop button? I have to start new stream, when i want to stop vlc. That is old bug at least me and now it happens with fresh win7 installation.
