IanSav Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Hi, I just installed the new DVBViewer 4.9.0.0 update and then started to existing 1.9.1.0 Recording Service. When I log into the web UI I find that a number of the windows are now corrupted. The main menu "Timeline" button has no label. The Status and Configuration pages are also substantially damaged. I installed the 4.9.0.0 update over the existing 4.8.1.0 version and kept my existing configuration. Should I have done anything differently? Is this a problem with the recording service or the new DVBViewer Pro update? Regards, Ian.
Lars_MQ Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Sound like a wrong language file. Which language are you using?
IanSav Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) Hi Lars, I am in Australia and using English as the language choice. My browser (IE8 running on Windows XP) is set to English (Australia) [en-au]. This was working fine up until I installed the 4.9.0.0 update. Regards, Ian. Edited September 16, 2011 by IanSav
Lars_MQ Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Well my first guess was wrong, cause the recording service webinterface does not use the DVBViewer language files, only the configuration program does. But have you installed the webinterface from the DVBViewer Setup -> Download? this might have overwritten the language files in question... Extract the rc_english.lng from the attached zip into the [your path to the DVBViewer program folder]\language\ folder and stop and start the recording service. rc_english.zip
IanSav Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Hi Lars, When I ran the DVBViewer update I did keep all the original choices, including the installation of the older web service. Using the language file you provided has fixed the problem. Thank you. Regards, Ian.
