Cian Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 I recently recorded a series of 20 programmes shown over four weeks. This led to a lot of files in my recordings folder and also made it hard to find the next episode among all my other recordings. Also, I am recording a sereis for my wife and she will have to go through a long list of recordings to find her programme. My suggestion is that the user can specify a destination folder for each entry in the timer. This should lead to a far more organised recordings folder. People can create a folder for a series or for the person that they are recording the programme for. It could be part of the timer window that pops up when a recording is added from the EPG. Obviously, if no special folder is selected, then it goes to the default folder, but the option to choose would be nice. Alternatively, an option in the "After Recording" drop down menu in the timer window could move the recording to a different folder. I looked at the MySeries plugin, but from what I can tell, tthis only creates a virtual folder on the streaming side of things (at lest that is how it looks to me - I could be wrong). I don't think this has been suggested before, but apologies if it has. C. Quote

Cian Posted September 18, 2011 Author Posted September 18, 2011 Thanks - That's handy to know. Is there a way of sending it out to a seperate hard drive or folder outside of the recordings folder? Not quite sure how I would do it with the current format. Quote
