hamish_ Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 I've been having problems viewing and recording HD channels using the Recording Service for the last few months. At random intervals the decoding stops. If viewing live, I have to stop the graph and reselect the channel (changing channels also works). Recordings used to stop dead, but the "restart recording if no data recieved for 60 seconds" option ensures that I only miss 70 seconds at a time now. When a 25 minute program is interupted 5 times, this obvously get very annoying. My system's set to use a Blackgold BGT3595 for all DVB-S2 programmes. I update Blackgold drivers and DVBV software regularly. I'm pretty sure this problem didn't emerge until after I'd been using the BGT3595 successfully for a while. The majority of my HD recording is BBC One HD and BBC HD, but it also affects Channel 4 HD and Channel 5 HD. As an example, a recording of a F1 Grand Priz was split into 18 parts, each between 6 seconds and 33 minutes. I've ruled out CPU overloading and other recordings or live viewing interfering. I've attached my support.zip. I acknowlege that this may well be a problem with the Blackgold drivers. If so, I'd welcome any help on gathering more diagnostic data which I could pass on to the manufacturer. support.zip
