Thomzen Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hi there! When i have set up DVBViewer, and installed recording service i Can easily stream whatever i like both on LAN and via internet... My problem is that sometimes when i start the stream, it ends up very messy (thise digital square lags in picture, and lag in Sound), mostly it stops, if i just reconnect, or restart computer... I have cheked, the server doesnt at any time use more than about 50% cpu usage, nor ram... My internet connection has also been tested at 100% idle, but it doesnt change when it occours, sometimes it works just fine, other times its not worth looking at.... Anyonew have a suggestion what Can be the problem? (might some good hints about what codecs other ppl are using)? (but wonder if it is a codec problem (but: cant see what it else should be??)) DickyDoDah! Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Hi, Does this happen on both LAN and via the internet? Also are you transcoding or just watching the direct stream? I would first suggest that you set the priority of the service to high on the first page of the settings.
Thomzen Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 Sorry i was off, havent had the problem for the last long time, so forgot again.. -But the problem offoured mo matter if i started stream via LAN, or internet, and in no of the incidences it took up all cpu power (and as soon the system dont use 100% cpu power, there is no need of prioritize?) But has worked since, so im happy..
