EPG Search doesn't display multiple epg events for "identical&

I have two terrestrial tuners, and basically would want to record 1 identical channel with both tuners at same time (kind of prevention if one would have discontinuities) with scheduled epg event autosearch.

I have created two roots (same transponders/channels)

Assigned group A to channels of 1st root and set 1st tuner's priority to preferred and option to use only A channel groups.

Assigned group B to channels of 2nd root and set 2nd tuner's priority to normal and option to use A,B channel groups.

In recording service web interface timeline/tv guide/programs I can toggle between different roots and see epg events of both of them.

However when searching an epg event in EPG Search tab channels are displayed only once (from first root) . Second root is empty. Selecting all channels button obviously don't help and search results contains epg events only once, not twice (for every root one event) as I would expect. This prevents me scheduling automatic recorder based on epg search to record one epg event on two different tuners.

I guess this could be some epg bug related to the fact that both roots have same epg event ids as they share transpoders/channels.

Would it be possible to display same epg events in search results multiple times for every channel / root, even though they are in fact same channels and EPG events have same ids? Maybe an configurable option, not enabled by default or is not possible due to some kind of service limitation. I know I can set to record manually same event twice of "identical" channels in different roots, but would definitely prefer an option to schedule this automatically by preset.

Thanks for info

There is no bug. It's not meant to work that way.

The channelgroup is not part of the EPG ChannelID so the search will always take the first found channel.

Thanks for the answer, I think I understand the reason behind current behavior, I just hoped there could be an configurable option to provide one results for each channels event, although it's the same one.

So there is currently no option to automatically schedule recording of one epg event by multiple tuners? Is that such a strange feature to have? :)

The DVBViewer/Recording Service is not designed to have one channel multiple times in the channel list.

In nearly every situation only the first channel will be used (using different groups make no difference).

If you need a channel twice in the channel list you should rename one of them so that they have different names.

And it is not designated to connect a recording timer to a special tuner.

Which tuner will be used is decided at recording start by the Recording Service.

I know I can rename channels, actually I did that to have unique channel names, but that didn't help to have that channel displayed/selectable in EPG search as second one.

I have no problem manually setting timer for 1st channel from group A by one device and same timer for 2nd renamed channel by second device using channel groups (I have to use channel groups to force recording by both tuners, otherwise one tuner would record both timers as they are on same transponder/mux). But it's currently not possible to automate this process because only first epg events are displayed in epg search results.
