Attached a very simple shader that enable to see in 2D any emission in 3D: useful for people not having a 3D TV set but interested in watching an emission on a 3D channel...

Enjoy !

Hi rif,

thanks a lot for sharing this! It´s working great - just did a quick test with The Lion King (recorded from Sky 3D). Plays as smooth as the normal 2D version and i couldn´t see any loss in picture-quality due to the conversion.

Thanks a lot! Allowed me to watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony on BBC HD - it was broadcast in 3D and I don't have a 3D TV yet :)

Naturally there is quite a noticeable degradation in the horizontal resolution but that's an inherent limitation. Still much better than SD :)

Just FYI: You should have been able to watch in (full resolution) 2D on BBC One HD - it's even on the same transponder as BBC HD.

Thanks for this. Comes in handy with all the free Olympic 3D stuff flying around at the moment. :)

Tune to a 3D channel or play a 3D recording.

Options/DirectX and click on the box USE CUSTOM RENDERERS (If you don;t already)

Right click on the picture and select View/shaders and then the shader of your choice.

Switch the shader back to NONE to get normal viewing back.

Which eye is this shader showing? only left or only right?

Could you remake it for another eye.....Just needed, don't ask why 8-)

Left eye I believe (tune to a non 3D channel to see). Thanks for the shader rif, useful to a watch a near HD highlights prog (there was no 2D highlights except SD on red button).
