frankas Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Hello, Can anyone confirm or deny that it is possible to watch two (or more) encrypted channels at the same time if they are on same transponder/frequency ? For example do recording of one channel an watch another, or watch one channel on one PC and another channel on another PC. It worked fine this way while channels where unencrypted. Quote
Derrick Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 ..in principle yes, though you'll need special hardware (e.g. from DD) to descramble more than one service with a single ci-module. Quote
frankas Posted January 2, 2012 Author Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Ability to descramble only one channel at time is limitation of: DVB Card (in my case TT C-1501 with CI module), CAM module (CONAX), card itself, software ? I think those devices from DD allow to use of single CI module by several DVB cards, I think this is slightly different case ? Edited January 2, 2012 by frankas Quote

CAM. There are software ways to write one scrambled channel while watching another with DVBViewer, but discussing there are not allowed by board rules. Picture-in-picture for two scrambled channels is not working, though. Used to work in previous versions as far as I remember. Quote
