DVBViewer Initialization fail

Recommended Posts

Hi, this problem has been bugging me for quite some time and nothing i tried had been able to fix it. I use RecordingService and DVBViewer on same machine. Sometimes, when i start DVBViewer it starts normally, but sometimes it hangs on "Completing Initialization" stage

and after about 10-15 seconds DVBViewer loads, but says that there is no hardware device available and goes to standby mode

But after i click the channel manually - everything starts working.

I have no idea what is the cause. It happens only around 25-30% of the time. Other times when i launch DVBViewer everything works fine from the start. Without Recording Service i haven't seen a single case of this behavior.

I included support.zip.

Here's some additional info:

Gigabyte EX58-UD4

Intel I7-920 @3.6Ghz

NVIDIA GTX285

6gb RAM @1400Mhz 8-8-8-24

Prof-7500USB DVB-S2

Win7 64 bit english. Latest drivers for everything.

I can reupload screenshots to imgur.com later, if you need. It says it's over capacity now.

03.03.12 04:02:07.678 TUniCastServer Could not listen: Address not available (#10049 in Bind)

It seems the network is not ready. Don't know what happens on your machine/system...

I've reset all network settings in windows and gave it some test. This problem still appears sometimes, but instead of mentioned above error in svcdebug.log, another error in osderror.log appears:

03.03.12 14:02:17.233 TWSocketThread Could not connect: Zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse 004A90E3 in Modul 'DVBViewer.exe'. Schreiben von Adresse 00586EB0

Any idea what it could be?

Exactly same problem here!

I have found out that in most cases it helps to stop DVBV, then stop recordingservice, wait 10 seconds, start it again, wait 10 seconds and then start DVBViewer.

If not: restart of PC hepls :)

The "standby" + no hardware issue started in December 2011 I think.

I have an idea it is browser related, but I have also experienced that unplugging CI and plug it in again, + dvbv. restart sometimes helps.

The slow initialisation started here long time ago, I think in end of 2010, I did post a question about about start up time once...as far as I remember, but can't find the post..

Also the same problem, (DVBViewer_5.5.2)
YUAN MC763M change hw / MC763H Hybrid Analog / DVB-T miniPCI, Asus notebook N75SF. Start DVBT HW found. DVT-Tuner red-flagged. Remove it, rescan DVT HW-Tuner loaded, then it works normally again.
DVBT shuts down and the device is lost again :-(
Not somewhere to define the device to write to INI?
