Kevin Steggles Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Got a satellite feed into my office, and carried out a few scans (inc one using Transedit) but I'm missing some fairly fundamental channels such as BBC2 (England) my ITV region (Border) and Channel 4...lots of Channel 4 +1s though. The Sky+ HD box also connected to the dish picks up all channels without a problem. Am I doing something stupidly wrong?! support.zip Quote
fxv1 Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 (edited) Have you got a recent ini file from King of Sat http://en.kingofsat.net/dl.php?pos=28.2E&fkhz=0 copy it to the tranponders Config folder. Users\Frank\AppData\Roaming\CMUV\DVBViewerS1\Transponders Then do a fresh scan. Hope that works. @fxv300 Edited May 8, 2012 by fxv1 Quote
QBox User Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 ITV Border - 10891H BBC Two England - 10773H (along with BBC Three) Channel 4 - 10741H (along with Film 4) Channel 4 +1 - 10729V I assume you have direct LNB feed to PC tuner and are not using any receiver loop-through which might be blocking horizontal signals. Try the transponders above in TransEdit. Quote

I'll try again and see if it works. Ah, now, it is coming via a multiswitch in the attic but I thought that would send both vertical and horizontal channels, as I've also got two Sky HD boxes in the house and they're picking up everything? Lakeuk Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Link below my channel list for most relevant freesat channels, import it through the channel editor in DVBViewer Freesat ini Quote
Kevin Steggles Posted May 9, 2012 Author Posted May 9, 2012 (edited) Thanks for that - much appreciated...and nicely set out! Still can't get any channels with horizontal polarity and not even all with vertical. I can get BBC1 for my region, and BBC2 Wales is similar enough to BBC2 England....and CHannel 4 +1 just means I have to wait an hour for Deal or No Deal....but no BBC Radio channels etc. Is it my attic's multiswitch which is doing this? It's definitely got its own power supply and the LNB (quad) was replaced yesterday so is brand new. Would I be better off with a Freesat Box and separate TV?! QBox User Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Can you swap the multiswitch outputs for Sky and PC? If so, does it produce any change? If LNB has been changed recently, I would check that all 4 outputs are operating by checking Low and High band channels on H and V transponders using Sky receiver. e.g. Channel 4 - Low H, BBC Radio 1 - High H, ITV2 - low V, Argos TV - high V. Could just be a faulty cable connection. Quote
Kevin Steggles Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 Thanks. Both Sky boxes display all the channels you mentioned. I'll try to get into the attic and change the wiring about, but having just caught a few seconds of Jeremy Kyle when testing ITV2, I need to lie-down first. Quote
