ramonchin Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Hi I'm sharing a motorized LNB between PC and Ariva TS100 receiver. How could I stop voltage feeding the LNB from my PC? I think some device could be damaged if both things are feeding the LNB, because the Ariva is powering the dish even when it's on stand-by... I'm using Tevii S660 with DVBViewer Pro. Thanks Quote
Griga Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Options -> Hardware -> Disable LNB on device releasing in DVBViewer Pro, provided the driver does what it is supposed to do. However, for maximum security you should use a diode protected 2-Way Splitter, like http://www.satpro.tv/hfs-2d.aspx Quote
ramonchin Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 These are the options I have... http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/8795/20120831171117.jpg Quote
Griga Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 As shown, DVBViewer should switch the LNB power off when it releases the device. You may also want to try this commandline tool. However, it doesn't guarantee that the LNB power is switched off *before* the device has been used by DVBViewer resp. the LNB Off tool has been launched. Check it with a multimeter. With a diode protected 2-Way Splitter you are on the safe side in any case. Quote
ramonchin Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 (edited) I thought that it could be disabled in windows registry. Thanks. On the otjer hand, I can´t mark shared LNB option.. Edited August 31, 2012 by ramonchin Quote
