Please help me for which Video and Audio Decoders I should choose DVBV

Hello,

Please I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64, and did updated to latest windows updates.

Now I am very confused for which Audio/Video decoders and renderers I should choose as they are too many.

All channels are SD only as my card tuner does not support HD.

Below are the settings I've in my DVBViewer, please advise for which one I should pick for each decoder and each renderer:

LAV for audio

EVR Custom render

Default direct sound

 

And install latest DVBViewer, now I see you are using old version.

Please what do you mean or refer to by this? is it under audio or under video decoder?

Please I do not follow, please may you be patient with me as I am still new to this and tell what to choose for each one in order as I did in the picture posted above? I do not mean to make snapshot but I mean to refer or pick a choice for the 9 pictures so I can better understanding.

Yes it is 4.5.0.0 but the reason is that I have a lot of crashes with the latest version while this one is not (old is gold), but will it make any differ? to use the latest version or any good old one?

I'll do some screenshort later, but bigest problem is your all codecs, now you must to set prefered merits, because you can select one codec but DVBViewer can use another. Best way is clean install, after that lastest DirectX from Microsoft using dxwebsetup, LAV Filter codec is also enouth, in some cases some video isn't show correctly with LAV, so for H264 videos, not for DVB-S live stream I'm using Arcsoft, plus automatic refresh rate change by video frame rate. 4.9.6.20 with Win7 x64 works perfect, no crashes. Don't forget to turn off UAC in Windows, antivirus I'm don't use at all. Windows defender is turned off, aero is on.

You mean that I've a lot of codecs!? if this is what you mean, then the reason is that I read a lot that the biggest problem for most DVB software is the right codecs so I install all codecs I know and then let the software itself choose the suitable one.

I am really do not understand this part and I am sure it is my fault because I do not know a lot about this DVB world.

How long have you been using it ? or in other words how much time does it last before any crashing?

Well. I've reinstalled windows 7 now.

Please did you installed any special codecs or just the mentioned DirectX only?

After clean install of Windows I'm installing

Directx

Latest video driver, not Windows driver, for nvidia I'm using 306.02

what arcsoft version do you use? from haupphauge?
