Why I need install DirectX 9 updates on Windows 8? Windows 8 already includes DirectX 11.

I don't remember having to install Directx9 for w8 ??

Don't mix Runtimes with DirectX9 installations. The DVBViewer needs the Directx9 runtimes, which are required to do things like setting up the d3d engine or compiling the shaders used. I'm quite sure it is explained very well in multiple threads inside this forum.
