stuboy Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Hi I have been looking for a definitive guide on how to get my freesat epg working on my HTPC, alas so far i have failed to get it to work. I used to have it working on my other pc but that was a couple of years ago. There is a freesat entry in the EPG option page what else is needed? Could someone guide me through the necessary steps please? Regards Stuart Quote
jf2020 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) 1 In Options/EPG make sure that "ReceiveFreesat EPG" is ticked 2 In Options/EPG/SieFern/MHW make sure that you add the following transponder: 11428 h FREESAT Should work Edited November 21, 2012 by jf2020 Quote
Tjod Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 freesat.t1 and freesat.t2 are not used any more by the DVBViewer. The Huffman.dll is the replacement for them. Quote
themaster1 Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 There also is an EPG channel on 11778.00 V ; actually there is nothing on 11428 now, that's what kingofsat tells me Quote
Derrick Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 There also is an EPG channel on 11778.00 V There are lots of streams on 11778V listed as IEPG data in transedit's analyzer. But this transponder does not update the freesat EPG in the DVBViewer. actually there is nothing on 11428H now, that's what kingofsat tells me ..not true! Don't trust unreliable sources Delete the epg.dat and then tune to Fashion One on 11428H. The freesat epg will fill within seconds.. ..normal freesat transponders also carry this information, though at a much lower rate. Additionally standard DVB epg is sent, but it contains current and next events only. Quote
QBox User Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 I have a daily task set to tune for a few minutes to "Freesat Info" channel on 11427H. This keeps the EPG up to date. Quote
