A.M. Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Hi! Recently implemented RTSP streaming feature looks very promising, but I have a problem streaming to my Dune D1. I load m3u file with channel list in Dune but I'm able to watch only a few channels from the list. For the rest Dune detects bitrate but does not detect resolution and format and shows only watches in top left corner (means "WAIT"). I tested all RS versions from 1.20 up to 1.22. On a PC (VLC 2.0.0) the situation is a way better, every channel seems to work OK except the situation of video codec change. In this case I need to call desired channel one more time and then it's shown OK. The only stable (rock solid) way to stream to Dune for me is to use DVBViewer with netstreaming plugin. UDP multicast works flawlessly with Dune's IPTV application but there is an obvious inconvenience with channel switching, I need every go to my PC to switch. Did somebody test RS+Dune, what is your experince with the feature?
isabido Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Hi A.M I'm also trying out my new 303D DUNE by UPNP is very slow and is not able to capture all audio tracks, for RSTP always gives me the message error code 1. For UDP multicast Netstreaming, is perfect!

Edit the list rtspchannels and added just the beginning. udp :/ / @ 239.0.1.1:2345 - Enables the RS support RTSP. - Now in DVBViewer settings set the tuner as an RTSP. -Open the DVBViewer with Netstream plugin for multicast. Now when you start playback on DUNE, see the last channel, open the playlist and choose the channel you want, then return to the UDP and you will be tuned to the channel. It's a little heavy but it works for now. And do not get up to change the channel on your computer. Forgive my bad English. Thanks! Edited February 6, 2013 by isabido
A.M. Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 RS 1.26 & VLC 2.0.7 are OK for me, no problems so far. But with Dune the situation is the same. I don't know technical details of the SAT>IP protocol, maybe there is something that confuses Dune's stream reader, something it does not expect in RTSP stream. Is there a way to fix it? isabido, thanks for your advice, sadly it is quite inconvenient way.
