QBox User Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 This seems like a Newbie question. When tuned to a channel and using the remote control with OSD, how do you stop tuning? With a mouse, I'd select "Close Graph", but I can't see the option to do it directly - I have to select another function like Recording playback then stop it (having set "Action playback stop" to "none" in Options-Movies). I could assign the command to a button, but ideally it would respond to the "Stop" button (as used in playback) or be an option in the OSD-Blue context menu. Quote
mague Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Hi, i am planning to merge HTPC and RS Server. But i want the server to be on 24/7 since it is hosting my mailserver too. All i want is that the monitor goes into standby. This requires a 'Stop Graph' and a 'Tune last channel'. Most probably i ll write a little plugin for this. I am not ready to merge yet. It might take some weeks till i release the plugin. Another option might be EventGhost. Quote
QBox User Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 I am interested in Montor standby for another reason and asked in another post, since my TV switches to the PC when it comes out of standby to record, but only if DVBViewer Pro is running. It may have some Windows API call to activate the monitor on return from standby. Auto-selection on HDMI-1 seems unique to Panasonic TVs and makes the PC easier to use for recording playback. For now, I solved the current problem by creating a "null channel" in the Editor, with all parameters = "0". I put it at the top of the list, so I just have to press the zero button to switch off the tuner source. This also gets rid of another minor annoyance (channel number zero). Quote
