FransOv Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Since a week DVBViewer Pro and Transedit report an error while initialising my TV card, a TechniSat CableStar HD2. Before everything worked correctly. The Tv card still works when used with other software e.g. ProgDVB. The card is detected and is visible in the hardware tab of the Options Dialog, but DVBViewer reports Hardware not found when viewing or scanning for channels. My PC has an Asus P8277-V motherboard, Intel Core i7 3770 CPU and a Z77 chipset. I use the integrated graphics. The driver version For the Technisat card is 1.1.1.502, dated 2-7-2009. As mentioned before DVBViewer worked previously on this machine. support.zip Quote
Derrick Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 ..stop MS mediacenter. MS Media Center Receiver Service: Running Quote
FransOv Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 Media center receiver service is not running. I'm not using Windows Media center. ProgDVB was able to use the tv card so it's not claimed by anyu other process. Frans Quote
FransOv Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 Sorry, I just saw that the Windows Medis Center Receiver Serice is running. I did stop and disable the service, but it makes no difference. Frans Quote

Derrick Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 ..looks as if another application is already claiming the card. What about progdvb? Quote
FransOv Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 ProgDVB is not running and I only installed ProgDVB after I encountered the problem. There are no services associated to progDVB, none that I can see. Frans Quote
FransOv Posted February 25, 2013 Author Posted February 25, 2013 The problem disappeared after I upgraded to Windows 8. No idea whar caused it. Quote
