cargen Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 hi All, i had a problem with HD channels. I posted in the forum for an help (see Link). in the forumi was suggested to add a more powerful graphic card. my specs are: CPU: AMD Sempron 140 2.70 GHz Ram: 2gb Motherboard: M4A78LT-M Integrated ATI Radeon™ HD 3000 GPU windows 7 32 bit. so i bought an ATI Radeon HD6450 (see link). now i have huge problems with discontinuities on both SD and HD channels. I have tried all sort of settings, changing codecs (Lav anf ATI) Note: when i watch HD channels DVBViewer doesn't freeze anymore. Quote
Cian Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) The new graphics card you installed has obviously meant the the PC can now display the HD feeds and has taken the load off the processor and cured the freezing. I have found discontinuities in the signal to be a problem with the quality of the satellite signal. Maybe you need to re-align your dish, or check the quality of the cables runing to the PC. The signal quality displyed by DVBViewer is not particularly usefull in seeing how good or bad the signal really is, but it will increase if you can improve the quality of the signal entering the PC and will help to know that you are going in the right direction. uglyned Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Also ATI's catalyst software can be troublesome - if they're available try changing some of the settings in the Catalyst Control Centre around Force Smooth Video Playback. I was getting awful sync problems and video freezing until I removed those options. Quote
