lujo Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) I am using DVBViewer with Recording Service. Recording Service is on headless server and DVBViewer is on Windows 7 x64 computer. The problem is that it seems that there is no option to find satellites with DVBViewer and to align dish...? I have Triax 78cm with Moteck 2100A and Edison LNB and TBS 6922 dvb-s2 card. There are dvb applications with which you can move motor left/right and at the same time you can check if the signal becomes stronger or weaker. Whe you have found the strongest signal you can save it as position 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Is DVBViewer able to do this? Edited January 29, 2013 by lujo Quote
Tjod Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 You need TransEdit for such things. http://www.DVBViewer.com/griga/TransEdit%20E/Content.html http://www.DVBViewer.com/griga/TransEdit%20E/DiSEqC.html#Positioner Quote
jf2020 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) OK I found it. It's in the lower right corner of the Analyzer window. TransEdit Analyzer Edited February 1, 2013 by jf2020 Quote
QBox User Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 You need to use TransEdit to get that info. DVBViewer doesn't have a DiSEqC control console. It doesn't even show signal quality on my (BDA) satellite tuner. TransEdit has to be run on the server (i.e. where the hardware is located). You will probably need a remote desktop application for this. All channel scanning should be done with TransEdit. Quote
lujo Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 (edited) I think I have to select transponder, press analyze and use Positioner. With TS Analyzer I can see if signal strength is changing. Is this correct? Edited January 31, 2013 by lujo Quote
QBox User Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Yes, that's it. You need to position the console window so you can still see the Quality reading while moving the dish. Quote
