daffy Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 The "NVIDIA Decoders" perform really well. And there is even room left for improvement! The "NVIDIA video post-processor" really does make a difference for plain old TV. There is just that small little problem: I am unable to get it into the Directshow graph automatically - I have to manually squeeze it in (see attached screenshot). Is there any way to have DVBViewer build a graph such as the one depicted - AND retain AC3 functionality? For the record, I have not succeeded yet in making the Graph Selector plugin work with DVBViewer 2.3 beta, the new source filter. Quote
Gioxy Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 You named it... Graph Selector is the solution to use such a "special" graph... And, as you can see in the member section, you only have to ask! » Description: Graph Selector Plugin ( 4312 Downloads ) » Version: 1.5 (New DVBSource added) » Size: 102 KBytes » Last Updated: 28.09.03 Thanks Griga! Cheers and... prosit! Gioxy Quote
boborg Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 (edited) I also have not succeeded in making the Graph Selector plugin work with DVBViewer 2.3 beta (new source filter). I have the GRFSelector.dll 28.09.03 but the reference to New DVBSource added must be to a previous version not the news one right? 28.09.03 is over a year ago... I have saved several running graphs through graphedit. But when I load these through Graph Selector nothing (Video/Audio) is shown. If I connect to the running graph through graphedit it has added Audiodump0001 and Videodump0002 infront of the existing Audio and Videodump. But as I've said nothing is rendered. Gioxy Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 28.09.03 is over a year ago... wooops! Sorry, I have read it too in hurry and without test it (I was at work...) I think we only have to wait for Griga (or Christian) to solve this... BTW, from wich package you get the "NVIDIA video post-processor"??? Cheers Gioxy Quote
daffy Posted October 31, 2004 Author Posted October 31, 2004 The "NVIDIA video post processor" is delivered with "NVIDIA DVD Decoder" http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html available for purchase from the NVIDIA site (you'll get an activation code that will, well, activate the download available). And, yes, that post-processor is a really, really, nice thing - if only DVBViewer could make use of it! This is what NVIDIA write in their FAQ: <quote from URI listed above> What applications does this product work with? The NVIDIA DVD Decoder contains a video decoder and an audio decoder that are compatible with many third party applications. The video decoder is compatible with any third party application that uses Microsoft DirectShow interfaces for accessing decoders. The audio decoder is only compatible with Windows Media Player 9 or higher and Windows Media Center for DVD playback. It will not work with any other application at this time due to requirements from third-party technologies which NVIDIA is actively working to fix. [...] </quote> Quote
Klausing Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 So, i payed a lot of money for testing this. I tried it and this new 4.00.20 video decoder don't connect to DVBViewer. Not with Marfi and not with old and not with new Beta DVBViewerSource. On my pc it only runs with WMP10 and Elecard Demultiplexer. With the old 3.xx decoder it works verry well with DVBViewerbut not with this new one. This was the expensivest money which i spend in my last month's If anybody gets its running with other application as WMP please give me a messge here. Steffen Quote
Gioxy Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 NVIDIA DVD Decoder Ah, I see... I sow it some day ago as addendum for MS-WMP10, but exactly for the reason you mention (NVidia "bug") I haven't buy it... ...so maybe the problem would be fixed by NVidia itself... For example it would be great if they would integrate the two filters in one... Cheers Gioxy Quote
