transco Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 I use the SatcoDX database which would be a great timesaver if it weren't for the need to edit every channel and set LOF, etc. In my case I would like to change the default LOF to 10750, default LNB Selection to none, and the default DiSEqC to PosB/OptB. There are a few exceptions, but this would handle the majority of the satellites I'm interested in. Is there some place the defaults (preloads) can be changed globaly? Quote
Griga Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 if it weren't for the need to edit every channel and set LOF, etc. Select the satellite in the channellist and *then* go to the Edit Tab. There you can change the values for all included channels at once. Quote

Unfortunately, when I tried this, the only global setting displayed was "DiSEqC" .What do I need to do to have it include "LOF" and LNB Selection? Quote
Klausing Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 what system do you have? How many satellites do you recieve .... We are no clairvoyants .... Quote
Derrick Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I guess, this has to be done per root.. satcodx sucks anyway. Lyngsat is more up-to-date (less old crap) and there are tools available to extract nice transponder.ini files from the site. The inis have by default universal lnb settings. Before scanning with transedit these global settings for an ini can be changed and saved in transedit. The found channels can be exported directly to the DVBViewer and will have your personal parameters Quote

Pawn just gave a notice on that in the german part of the forum in the topic Beta 2.3 Probleme. Quote
Griga Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 That doesn't work in 2.3ß. Here it does. Thank you for the information. It doesn't provide setting the LNB Selection this way, however - only DiseqC and the LOF values. Another idea: Export the whole stuff as INI file, open it with a text editor, use search & replace and re-import it. Dunno wether this makes any sense in your case... Quote

Sorry, I was using the bundled version of DVBViewer. My account information arrived this morning, I installed V2.2, and it works as stated. Thanks again... Quote
