Keyser
Hi all I'm sorry to report that the wonderfull streaming/livetv feature specifically for iphone is now broken if you upgrade to ios 7. The stream will start but stops and hangs after about 5 secs -keyser Link to comment
hackbart
hmm, yes it seem like only the first chunk of a hls transmission is played back. Link to comment
hackbart
I'm not sure if it is a bug in IOS7, but i think i found the issue and solved it. I suppose it is fixed, since i play the live stream for more than 10 minutes at the moment. So far try to avoid installing IOS7. I found several smaller behaviours while playing around. For example open a video and the position bar is longer than the display. To fix it rotate the phone in 90° and rotate it back. If you installed IOS7 you might try the following: Tune a stream, if it stops press complete and press run again. It seem to be that the playlist is not refreshed if it does not change within a certain time. The problem is that i cannot increase the buffer without raising a timeout, decreasing the buffer size from 3seconds to 2 or 1 does not seem to be smart. Somehow i dislike the new system more and more :/ Link to comment
hackbart
Hmm, what i can say is that it definitively a combination of the buffer size and EXT-X-TARGETDURATION. Since we handle live streams live and start the transmission just in time you get a timeout if i increase the Target Duration value. Under certain circumstances IOS7 stops loading the chunks, which seem to be a bug. Link to comment

rumave
Hi all, some progress with the issue?? It's the best program to streaming TV and streaming Media, and it's a shame that it don't works in IOS 7, i can not to return IOS6..... Thanks, cracks!! Link to comment
rumave
Hello again, This solution works!!!. IOS 6, when you play streaming, in safari we can wait 15 sg about, from play to see streaming IOS7 , play appear right away, if you touch play when it appear, streaming will stop at 9 sg. If you wait 15 sg to play, streaming works fine!! I think tha the issue is related to buffer. TRY IT!! works fine!! Link to comment
rumave
Only in Recording Service 1.26 not in Recording Service 1.27 Link to comment
maxc58
Is there any update on RS1.27? Link to comment
beeswax
Hmm, well since I updated to RS1.27, iOS steaming is now broken even on iOS6. The stream starts to play but after a few seconds freezes and the ffmpeg instance quits on the server. Streaming to any web browser on a PC as flv works fine for hours on end but iPhone and iPad on iOS 6 both quit after a couple of seconds. Link to comment
hackbart
I know i accidentally broke the support while adding flexible chunks and dynamic playlists which do not work well. This behavior will be reset on the next update. Anyhow it does not work well with IOS7 unless you disable the autoplay function and buffer at least 15 seconds before pressing the play button. It is quite annoying, but i do not see any other solution for this. Link to comment
beeswax
That's good to know although new releases are fairly infrequent so is there any chance you could put out an unsupported hotfix to get this working again while we wait for the new version? Link to comment
beeswax
I see there's another thread about this in the German section however Google Translate does a fairly poor job so I can't follow it that well. Just to be clear, I'm asking only for a hotfix to get streaming working again on iOS6 as it did in RS1.26. I understand something in iOS7 has broken the streaming capability beyond your control however it should be possible to fix iOS6 streaming right? Link to comment
convas
How do I "disable the autoplay function" ? Link to comment
hackbart
Remove the autoplay property from the Video tag inside the html Link to comment
beeswax
I'm happy to report that RS 1.28 has got streaming to my iPhone on ios 6.1 working again. My iPad 3 has recently been upgrade to ios 7.0.4 (I wonder why) and that quits streaming after about 10s. A solution that works for me is using Chrome to access the iPhone web URL then steaming works fine. Link to comment

beeswax
Markus, great work! I've got 7.05 running on my iPad3 with iOS 7.0.4 right now and it's been playing for a couple of minutes already so looks like you've cracked the problem! Thanks very much for taking the time to do this. I'm not sure what the difficulty is above, I just extracted the archive and navigated to the URL and everything worked fine. Link to comment

MarkusK
Cannot reproduce this. Try this: Navigate to recordings, tap on an item. The actionsheet appears and you should see the title on top, then "Details" and "View". Is "View" then visible? Link to comment

beeswax
I've just got a new iPhone 5c (iOS 7.0.4 Jailbroken) and been trying out the new iOS_705 web skin with it. It loads OK but I can't change any options. Once I've selected a programme/channel to watch, I can't change the video profile options. When I tap either bitrate or 'encoding preset' the bottom half of the screen just fills with black (which I think is where the roller-style dropdown used to pop up on my 4S on iOS6). Like so: The above is having just tapped 'Encoding preset'. Once this has happened, the skin continues to function however the browser is squished into the remaining area of the screen like this: edit: I've booted the phone without any tweaks (holding down Vol+ while booting) and it works fine with no MobileSubstrate+tweaks, sorry for the false alarm. I'll try and work out if it's a general MobileSubstrate issue or a particular tweak I have installed. edit2: Got it, it's a tweak called Bloard (which makes the keyboard black) responsible. I will contact the dev and try to get it fixed. Edited January 10, 2014 by beeswax Link to comment
MarkusK
You have another issue on your device: The black font on your statusbar. To fix this, add the following repo to Cydia and install StatusBarFix2: repo.pnre.co.vu Link to comment
beeswax
Oh, I thought it was meant to be like that, I kind of like it Think I'll steer clear of the fix though, Saurik doesn't seem to like the idea and I haven't noticed any other status bar issues as yet. Link to comment
