dirk362 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 (edited) I have DVBViewer Pro (latest 5.2.8), and PC with 4 satellite cards - 2 x TBS 6981, a TBS 6982, and a TBS 6985.This gives me 10 x DVB-S2 capable devicesI've set 8 of the 10 to be enabled in DVBViewer Pro, and left 2 as "do not use" - I've selected devices 9 and 10, so the ones at the end of the device list.If I then set up recordings via Timer, to record multiple channels per transponder, and ensure I'm only using 7 unique transponders as part of this, the entries against first 6 transponders work fine, but the 7th goes Red in the timer. If I enable device 9, it still stays Red in timer. Same is true if I enable device 10.The recordings overlap, but they're across unique transponders and all are FTA channels meaning plugins etc are not required.support.zip attached, and screen shots of timer and hardware. I've used Description column to denote the transponder and satellite so you can see that these are indeed only 7 unique transponders. This is pure timer function, nothing to do with RS. I can't see any reason for this not to work.I'm attempting to move over to DVBViewer Pro as at present I run multiple instances of DVBDream and I'm finding it's device handling via BDA often means cards don't fully initialise on 2nd or subsequent runs. My set up is via a DiSEqC switch, which is set up in DVBViewer Pro (when initial channel searches performed) 28.2e Pos A Opt A 23.5e Pos B Opt A 19.2e Pos A Opt B 13.0e Pos B Opt B There's a quattro LNB to each dish location, which then feeds through the DiSEqC out to the PC. Effectively it's a 17-in and 20-out switch. PC is running Windows 7 x64 SP1 with patches to Sep-2013. Motherboard: Asus P8 Z77-V LE, 8Gb RAMAll TBS cards provided with powerAll TBS cards updates to latest drivers from official TBS website.TBS 6981 using 2.0.1.6 dated 12/04/2013TBS 6982 using 1.0.0.0 dated 07/08/2012TBS 6985 using 1.0.0.3 dated 15/04/2013 I'm at a loss as to why this happens, so hopefully some kind soul can point me in the right direction... Thanks support.zip Edited September 20, 2013 by dirk362 Quote
dirk362 Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 So whilst it shows entries in Red in the Timer list, system correctly records all the channels across the 7 transponders. This is true whether you set Audio/Video to disabled, or you're watching a channel on one of the transponders the recordings will occur on. Therefore appears to be an issue with how Timer shows recordings vs how device allocation works. Quote
