MCE Remote advice

Hi,

I'm using an MCE remote on my HTPC but it's not quite working with DVBViewer.

I have the MCE remote plugin, and the 'learn' buttons in the Input detection work - all the 'special' keys are picked up by DVBViewer. But they dont' work in actual TV watching at all - some do, like the numbers, OK, direction buttons - all the non-'special' ones.

But the play, pause etc buttons don't register, even though they've been picked up in the input / learn options.

Does anyone know what I can do?

For me the attached file works.

Unzip to DVBViewer Data Folder\remotes (mce.remote)

Then DVBViewer > Settings > Options > Input > Load(button)

Maybe you want to change it a bit, then Apply or OK

mce.zip

I found the latest version 5.2.9 causes this behaviour. Try installing 5.2.8.1, that works for me.

Works fine for me with DVBViewer 5.2.9 and the upper file.

An update - I reverted to 5.2.8 and the problem is resolved - the MCE button presses are detected when TV is playing.

Ironlcally, in 'learn' in the input settings, 5.2.8 does not detect rewind / fast forward presses while 5.2.9 did but a quick edit of the XML file resolved this. Although the 'learn' does not detect the key presses in 5.2.8, they are successfully detected and actioned when watching TV.
