andmag Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Hello, Is there any way to prevent the pc, where RS is running, to enter sleep mode while a DVBViewer client is connected? I have now a problem when I stop watch a recording, that the RS pc is entering sleep mode at once. I don't have time to start watch a new recording before the pc is sleeping. Thank you andmag
majstang Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Hmm...how did you configure RS to enter standby when you stop watching a recording on an another pc via the network? Usually that is reserved for post recording actions only. Otherwise there is such a feature to block standby/hibernate if DVBViewer client is connected on the same computer as RS (is installed on) for both the DVB server and RTSP server. No such feature for DVBViewer clients on other computers in network though. This block for standby/hibernate does not work at the moment anyway because status.html (clientcount) in RS API is broken since many versions back. Should the RS API be working again the thing you wanna do would be possible to script. I had plans on it for a long time, but never came through.
andmag Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Thank you for the answer. I haven't configure RS to enter standby after stop watching recordings. Probably it is something in windows (vista) that makes the pc to enter standby. Then we should hope that the RS API get fixed in the next version.
