dds Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 I have recorded an important broadcast that recurs daily. I thought, that the activated menu entry "keep timeshift file" could mean that the last recording might be overwritten when the next recording starts. So I unchecked it and left DVBViewer. I was almost shocked, when I realized, that my recording was deleted without any confirmation. I need the recordings in the timeshift-format (*.ts) in order to import it in "dvr-studio". Maybe DVBViewer could alert the user if it is trying to delete something. Quote
Derrick Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Why are you surprised, if you decided not to keep it ? btw. the ending .ts stands for transport stream. Try the dvbrecorder plugin. There you can choose between different formats. If you want to record the ts, you can add other streams (e.g. 2nd audio track) to the recording as well. Quote
Hartwig Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 could mean that the last recording might be overwritten no, the filename is a combination of date and time. Thus the next file gets another name. Quote
dds Posted December 8, 2004 Author Posted December 8, 2004 I tried the recorder-plugin. It works fine. Thx Quote
