Docking station hangs up DVBViewer

I experienced a reproducible error, which hinders DVBViewer from starting, if my docking station (Dell D3100) is connected.
The splash screen is displayed but hanging in the first step ("Seaching Filters").

The logfile is filled with the following exceptions:

 

frmMain EAccessViolation at 006B057E: Access violation at address 006B057E in module 'DVBViewer.exe'. Read of address 00000000

USceneRender issuing WM_DEVICELOST

USceneRender Failed initializing D3D: missing client window handle

 

 

Since a similar error was already reported with another dock, I suggest some incompatibility with DisplayLink drivers.

My hardware configuration:

TV hardware: only via LAN streaming.

Graphics: Intel HD4000 with newest (8/2015) Windows 10 driver 10.18.10.4276
