Griga Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 ffdshow as MPEG2 video decoder is able to handle almost all 4:2:2 video. After installation (32 bit version for DVBViewer!) launch the ffdshow Video Decoder Configuration from the Windows start menu, go to the Codecs page and select libavcodec for MPEG2. Finally launch DVBViewer and select ffdshow as MPEG2 Video Decoder on Options -> DirectX. Quote

Griga Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Make sure the 32 Bit ffdshow version ist installed. DVBViewer can't use the 64 bit version. Quote
Griga Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 try LAV without DXVA I've tried. It still can't play all my 4:2:2 samples. Only some of them (two out of four). ffdshow plays them all. Quote

Derrick Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 if you can watch at least for short moment, directshow should be ok. I guess your problems come the encryption of the feed. -> no discussion here. Quote
Tjod Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Check Settings >Filter > DVB Source if the Discontinuities count grows. Quote

Derrick Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 for 4:2:2 the video decoder is the important part read the wiki and post a support.zip Quote
Griga Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Usually Custom EVR is the best choice for DVBViewer Pro, particularly for OSD display. However, the Video Renderer has no influence on whether 4:2.2 can be played or not. It's the job of the Video Decoder. 1 Quote
