iPlayer in DVBViewer?

Hi,

 

I realise that this is probably a question that has been answered before, but I don't seem to be able to turn anything up on searching the forum. Apologies if I'm asking something particulary dumb.

 

I'm trying to work out if it's possible to access the BBC iPlayer red button functions via DVBViewer - by which I mean the connected internet options.

 

I have DVBViewer Pro and the MHEG-5 plugins installed and registered, so I can access the basic red button stuff - but I don't seem to be able to access iPlayer itself, and am wondering if I'm doing something wrong or whether this feature is simply not available.

The MHEG-5 plugin does not support internet based functions. And likely will never do.

 

The MHEG-5 implementation only supports offline mode, like regular STB's without internet connections.

A bigscreen version was closed in 2014
