re-use keys in osd

i'm using a creative remote with DVBViewer.

 

this remote emulates pressed keys. but there are not enough keys on the remote for all the major functions of DVBViewer + osd.

 

isn't it possible to use the same key twice (with osd, and without). for example:

left, right in DVBViewer to switch to next, prev. channel.

left, right with osd open: left, right in osd (timeline, ...)

 

actually it is not possible to assign a key twice.

A similar handling is used in the next version.

Depending on the displayed OSD-Page (and no page counts also as a page ).

 

The most important keys will have serveral functions, depending on the context.

In TV-Mode up/down changes channels, left/right volume. In Replay (Timeshift/Video/Audio) up = play/ down = pause / left = slower / right = faster and so on.

I think the way it is handled, suits the need for the most users (even myself ), so its not necessary for the user to assign keys twice by himself. We tried that and it was a really big mess
